CSA alum Charles Myers returns to teach Culinary Arts Workshop

CSA alum Charles Myers took four eager students under his tutelage in the First Presbyterian Church kitchen tonight for lessons in peeling, roasting and baking. The results were absolutely delicious!

Charles Myers shows Felicia Harris, left, and Kierra Webb, right, how to use an ice cream scoop to distribute even amounts of cupcake batter.

From left, Taiesha Kelso, Almaa Nensey and Kierra Webb check the cupcakes after 15 minutes in a 350-degree oven. They're done!

Felicia Harris, left, takes her turn piping brown butter icing on the pumpkin cupcakes.

Peeling carrots and parsnips before they're roasted in the cast iron skillet.

Taiesha sprinkles blue cheese on the salads of spring greens mixed with cranberry vinaigrette.

The students sit down to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor.

A salad of mixed greens served with salmon over roasted carrots and parsnips with a parsnip puree and a carrot broth. Yum!
